“Despite following & supporting Team Novo Nordisk for 12 years now, across 4 countries, I’m always humbled by the impact they have. Firstly, lives are changed & families are inspired, one at a time, by the stories of the TNN athletes. Secondly, our employees are brought close to our purpose, in a unique and lasting way. Finally, stakeholders, payors and policymakers can’t fail to acknowledge the importance of prioritizing Diabetes. In our ever more competitive commercial space, Team Novo Nordisk stands out as a beacon of differentiation which our founders would be proud of.”
Mr. John Dawber

“With around 1 million children and youth in India living with T1D, it’s crucial to address their urgent needs. Through dedicated tailored programmes and robust public-private partnerships with state governments, we can accelerate reach, improve healthcare infrastructure, and drive sustainable quality Type 1 diabetes care. The CoE provides holistic care through a host of services, including point-of-care HbA1C screening, certified diabetes educator counselling, specialists for regular health check-ups, progress monitoring, nutrition education, and efforts to strengthen the overall T1D care ecosystem. Additionally, we advocate for policy change at both the state and central levels.”
Mr. Vikrant Shrotriya

“I am incredibly inspired by a robust model of care centered on access, equity, and community. The CoEs are significantly improving the quality of life for many children living with Type 1 diabetes in India. This model is designed to establish the much-needed standard-of-care for T1D, focusing on diagnosis, education, and counselling. Additionally, the e-registry platform helps physicians track patients, increase follow-up rates, and identify high-risk patients, ensuring comprehensive healthcare services at OPD.”

“In India, Type 1 diabetes is growing at 6.7% annually compared to 4.4% for Type 2 diabetes (T2D). The significant prevalence of this condition is a serious cause for alarm. NNEF’S efforts in enhancing public awareness and reducing stigma, creating a child-friendly clinics, providing comprehensive training, and offering vernacular content for education on treatment, monitoring, dosage, and titration are crucial in addressing the core needs of children and youth living with Type 1 diabetes.”
Dr. Vani H Ī

“Working in a government hospital, we realized the load of Diabetic patients that needed not only medications but counselling and their queries to be addressed. What better way than to empower the nurses to help. The STEP-IN program, conducted with the help of DHS and Novo Nordisk Education Foundation, filled this gap. It was a satisfying experience to be a part of this program. In fact, education and training of HCPs must be ongoing process, to help deliver better patient care.”
